Combining the sense of smell with the sense of hearing in a powerful meditation.
The sense of smell is the most powerful of the five human senses. It’s tied to adrenal health, allergies and breathing issues and countless more processes. Smells such as freshly baked cookies, lilacs or perfumes can trigger visual memory.
During our meditation, we will use therapeutic essential oils and music.
Inhalation of essential oils have some very profound physiological and psychological effects. The body processes scent through the nose/olfactory system to the limbic system in the brain, which controls emotions and is the keeper of learned memories. The limbic system is directly connected to those parts of the brain that control heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress levels and hormone balance. The volatile scents of the plant are chemical messengers that trigger this brain function and influence our emotions.
Our meditation music is designed to influence the body’s natural healing, emotionally and physically, from certain sounds that help to ease anxiety, bring down heart rate and blood pressure, and is generally relaxing. It can help in releasing emotional blockages and align you with the heartbeat of the universe. The music may also heighten perception, increase mental clarity and unlock intuition.
Escape the busy-ness of life and give yourself the time you deserve for self-care.
